I have read that some reborners are using linseed oil when mixing their GHSP to help prevent chalkiness and so the paint goes on smoother. Is it a specific kind of linseed oil? I only have the kind you can get at a hardware store readily available, unless I drive 2 hours. Thank you for your help!!

Do not use low grade linseed oil from the hardware store.  You will need a high grade artist refined or cold-pressed linseed oil such as Winsor Newton.

I bought a one quart can of linseed oil, from Lowe's. It was about $14.99. And it works great. The one I bought is called; Klean Strip, boiled Linseed Oil. Works great also. whoohoo

I would only recommend using the artist grade linseed oil for reborning.

Like Pia, I would also recommend good quality artists linseed oil.  I guess if the other works for some, that would be fine, but since you use such a little bit (a few drops at a time) the artist grade oil would not cost as much as you think.
