Here is my Teddy from class, I wasn't happy with her until I put her together and now I think she looks better. Do you think she needs more hair or anything else? I loved Lara's dvd, I think my rooting is definately a lot better, so a big thankyou! to you too Lara hamsterdance hamsterdance

Sarah, she is just adorable! Her hair is perfect! You have done a fantastic job! I hope after I buy Lara's rooting DVD I can do hair like that!

Take care

Thanks gals! It is definately worthwhile buying Lara's dvd and learning how to do the directional rooting. For some reason it takes me about 30 hours just to root Teddy's little head. I root the whole head from the cut end of the mohair and Slumberland is my favourite for the newborn look as it's so soft and delicate. Hopefully every head I do I will get better, I broke many needles rooting Teddy and I even used a rice sock to heat the vinyl, otherwise I would have broken twice as many affraid it sure isn't my favourite part of reborning lol

Your Teddy is beautiful! I love the hair, great job! I broke needles left and right until I switched to the German forked ones. I've done two heads now on the same needle; I don't think that thing is ever going to break. bigsmile

Oh Sarah, her hair! I am truly impressed. I have gotten most of my customs that the mommies are dictating hair on finished, so now the next one is on my own. I am really anxious to use all the skills Lara taught us.

I second the motion on the German forked rooting needles. I can get several heads out of the same needle, and only need to change because it gets dull, not because it breaks. I have NEVER broken one and have been using them for about a year!

If you really hate it, I will send all my heads for eyebrows and you can send me yours to root lol lol

I am not sure I ever mentioned it, but I HATE EYEBROWS

baby hugs,
Audrey

GORGEOUS baby....and the rooting is wonderful!!!

I have German forked needles...they NEVER break....LOL.......but for me....it's hard to get them turned right to catch the hair!!!

I've used 46G crown needles...and they break CONSTANTLY!!! BUT....I can catch the hair easier with them.........now....my question is........why hasn't someone invented a "German forked/crown needle"?????? tantrum

Sarah - love your Teddy and your rooting is marvelous and I do see those directional hairs. I haven't looked at my DVD, but I will soon. You've inspired me to root my Teddy. I don't do fast either, so I'm going to need 10 movies for this one and a few glasses of wine when I start to ache.

Aww thanks for all the encouragement, I just hope I can sell her, it's always disheartening when they don't sell. I tried using a 46 crown needle on Teddy and it broke after one minute of rooting!! I think I am preferring the 42 crown needle as it catches the hairs quite well, but even though they are extra strong, I still break them? I think I must put them in on an angle - I'm hoping this will get better with practice. Thanks again loveyou! oh and that sounds like a great deal to me Audrey, I can't guarantee the eyebrows will look any good though lol.
