GR could work for me as well. It's about 3 hours, but I have family over there.

Grand Rapids will only work for me because I am going to be visiting family in St Joseph

Depending on if I am at my own home in Vicksburg, or out taking care of the peeps in Mattawan, I will be 45 minutes to an hour away, and I won't have to worry about Mom baing alone with two men with strokes, and special needs. One of my twins lives there, so that when Im not there....someone always is, but.....she is also in school, and now...working full time, which means most of it now falls back on my shoulders, Im not complaining at all....just don't have anyone else to help.....It's just me. I am hoping to get markies brother to come and get him, if and when we nail down a date. He does not like visiting his family at all, because they havent taken care fo him at all since his stroke, and when they do pick him up, he always comes back bruised, wet, and mad. It must be very frustrating to him, because he cannot speak like we normally do, so if he has to potty....they don't understand. Just a little background on what I'm dealing with, so you know I can't be away for long, BUT I am soo looking forward to this Michigan workshop, it gets me away for a little while to do something for myself....which I get very little of, plus, I don't have to be away for the whole weekend. I can come back and care for my very favorite peeps in the world :P)

I think Lara's already set the workshop for being at my house (Greenville, Michigan...just northeast of GR) for July 13-14.

How much further is Greenville hun? and I thought I saw a Poll on that today?? not sure but I think I did. doesnt matter to me, just as long as I can still not have to be in a hotel, and be close enough to home to drive, back and forth so I can make sure my peeps are cared for. We don't have nurses, and don't have access to them, their insurance doesnt cover respite care if I leave.....so no one to come in when im not there LOL

Greenville is about 30-40 minutes north[east] of Grand Rapids. From Vicksburg, Greenville is about an hour and 45 minutes. You'd be welcome to crash at my house if you didn't want the expense of a hotel stay.

Rachel's house is 2 hours from my family so I'd either need a place to stay or share a room at the AmericInn with someone.

OMG! Rachel is only 10 minutes from my house. I could actually attend a workshop. Somthing I never would have thought possible. How much would it be to attend without any hotel needed. Could we use our own kit? I need to know all the details.

I know I've been silent lately but it has been a rough few months. My hubby started to have seizures and was in the hospital twice. Then he came down with a bacterial infection of the colon. Hopefully he is on the road to recovery now but now we have over $12,000.00 in medical bills. I think by the time of the workshop I will need some quality baby time.

Jude, you should definitely plan to attend!! Price is same if you don''t need a room. The fees are to cover Lara's costs, etc. If we use our own kits, prices will be lower.

Where do I sign up to register so I can do this workshop? When do I need to pay and what kit will we be doing? Not that I'm excited or anything.

Air mattresses are awesome! I'm sure the hospitality would be very much appreciated by ladies who can't afford a hotel room. Thank you for offering!!!!

I'm thinking if you use your own kit, it needs to be 18" or smaller. Once we decide on a kit for this workshop, we can work though things if people want to use their own kit. The vinyl can't be totally crazy or anything, but I'm sure we can work it out. Class would be $250 without the included kit.
