Just wanted to give you all a heads up on a new workshop that will be announced soon. It will be June 22-23rd. This is the same time as the Down East Doll Conference. After much consideration and talking over with my husband, the expense of going to this conference for 4 days during his last week of school was just too much, so I am regretfully going to have to cancel that.


So, we will be having a 2 day workshop over the weekend in Reading at dollsbysandie. For those of you who were there last year, she has a wonderful set up right in her store with a patio that opens up to her pool. We will eat lunch poolside both days, and go out to dinner Friday night.

We will be doing an advanced newborn/preemie complexion using Serah Stoete. Friday will be painting, and Saturday will be finishing painting and detailing and rooting. We will not be assembling our babies as I hope to work on rooting, which again, we can do outside by the pool, which will be nice. We are limiting it to 10 gals, so it will be less crowded, too.


If you have any questions, or wish to attend, just contact Sandie regarding the deposit. $200 will be due to me as a final payment by May 20th. She will be announcing it in her newsletter soon. Last year it sold out in 2 days, so act fast.

Oh, and there are plenty of hotels nearby, too. I will be driving in on Friday morning, but will be staying at the Hampton Inn Friday night. There are about 8 hotels with a wide range of pricing from $50 to $130 night depending on your budget. You can also request a roommate to cut your costs.

I've been watching for a workshop to go to and I am interested in this one, but are the dates correct? Your website says you have a workshop in Greenville, NC - Thursday/Friday - June 21/22, 2012

Yes, as I explained in the post, it just isn't making financial sense for me to go to NC, so I cancelled that.

Sorry, Karen!! I will make a logo for you, and since Sandie is collecting the deposits, I would just need deposit due $200 on the site for the workshop.

I cancelled my table at the DownEast Show for the same reasons. It's a long trip and we also will be in the last week of school. I am sooo excited about the Dolls By Sandie workshop though. I went last year ladies and it was FUN and I learned a lot. And as Lara mentioned you can't beat poolside! :) I will be there for sure!!! XO Stacia

My brain didn't connect Down East Doll "Conference" with you having a workshop while you were there. I will look into the June workshop. I hope it doesn't sell out before I can tentatively work out who would be "me" while I'm gone (this is not an easy task).

wow how I would love to attend but just can't , I may be going also to the Down east doll show, well if I get a good spot. I am working on it.

I'm tentatively interested. Reading is an hour and a half from me. I should be able to hack this for two days in a row.

That would be awesome! I'll let everyone know before Sandie announces it in her newsletter. It probably won't be this week, but maybe next week. I know it sells out fast- last year in like 2 days, and we are having 5 less people this year. Just 10 spots.
It will be great, though! We will using Serah Stoete, and doing a very newborn skintone.

I'm so excited! I was able to get registered for this workshop. I think we are going to plan vacation to follow.
