First hon a pic would be great to give you an answer but also above that Lara's ebooks and classes are fantastic ... you would learn so much not just about the mottling but paint mixing which is a challenge for me and I have been painting for years lol.... I learn something in each and ever class ... from mottling to paint mixing to differnt skin tones you name it lara covers it and with great detail .... Sherrie

Take a class with Lara..or buy her ebooks..all the information you will need is right there...and the moderators can help you with any question you may have on the classes. There is just much information on mottling to answer on the forum with out you have some understanding of the techniques.

Yes I agree with the other ladies , if you have not taken any of Lara's classes then I would advise you do because you will learn so much bigsmile I have learned a whole lot about the different techniques in only a couple of classes ...her classes are absolutely wonderful wink

I would go with a class for sure lol... but the ebooks are fantastic as well any of them are great classes if you learn better by just reading then choose an ebook the preemie ebook would be my suggestion .... but they are all fantastic ...preemie has lots of mottling in it .... Sherrie

for that type of mottling i would use an ordinary kitchen sponge...but still you need to buy the ebook.

For a great introduction to mottling, I'd probably start with the Strawberries&Cream eBook. Then when you get the gist of what Lara refers to for brushes, etc. then the Just Born eBook has more than one color mottling.
